Huntsville Land Clearing Co. › Service areas › Harvest
Huntsville Land Clearing Co. is the Harvest starting point for land clearing on homesites, pasture recovery and wooded tracts. Harvest is a mostly unincorporated community in north Madison County, on rolling former farmland where new houses now sit beside fields and tree lines.
Rural ground, county oversight
Since most of Harvest lies outside any city limits, clearing questions usually go to Madison County rather than a city office. Burning debris outdoors on a quarter acre or more generally requires an Alabama Forestry Commission permit, and permits can be cancelled when weather turns dry or windy. Tires, household garbage and construction material cannot be burned.
A bigger homesite or pasture job that disturbs around an acre or more generally needs ADEM stormwater coverage, so ask the contractor about silt fence.
What Harvest parcels tend to need
Old fence rows grown up in hackberry and cedar, fields lost to sweetgum and briars, and wooded corners at the back of a tract are common. Fence line clearing and acreage clearing fit many of these jobs. The red clay holds water after rain, so access may be easier in drier months, and low areas and sinkholes deserve a flag before equipment arrives.
Frequently asked questions
